Is there another layer or driver that might be holding back the installed mesa 19.2.8 from offering OpenGL 4.5 on this system?ĮDIT1/2: Overriding variables has gotten the game to at least a loading screen but it locks. I see that Mesa 17.0 *should* support OpenGL 4.5, so i'm a little confused.ĭo I just need to modify sources for Crostini to update to a newer mesa driver via apt-get? Which source should I try?
GLXInfo shows mesadriver v19.2.8 though an OpenGL version of only 4.2 ('OpenGL core profile version string: 4.2). It's not fast, but I've seen the game playable on this CPU/iGPU at least. I need OpenGL 4.5 for a game (Surviving Mars) and the HD Graphics 5500 support OpenGL 4.5. Have a 2015 Toshiba Chromebook 2 with the core i3-5005U.
